'I want...' - 12 g/a striker reveals he now wants to 'go back' to Tottenham to play for Conte

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Troy Parrott has spoken about his desire to return to the club and become part of Antonio Conte’s first-team (The Irish Mirror). 

Despite enjoying a superb youth career in north London, the 20-year-old has so far flattered to deceive in senior football, having struggled during loan spells at Ipswich and Millwall.

Already capped on nine occasions by the Republic of Ireland, the Dublin-born striker appeared to be in line for a real opportunity at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium when he made a Premier League debut in 2019/20.

However, having joined the League One promotion-chasers MK Dons on loan for the duration of this season, Parrot has overcome some early adversity to hit form in the second half of the campaign.

MK Dons boss Liam Manning recently hailed Parrott’s maturity for refocusing on his career priorities.

And the striker, who has scored two goals in his last three games and six for the season, added: “I saw he said that and I agree with it.

“It’s just realising some stuff and growing up as a person and as a player.

“I can only see ways I can improve when I’m playing as many games as I have, and learning the trade.

“I want to keep improving and go back there (Tottenham) and be the best I can be.”

Albeit Parrott is yet to set the world alight at the senior level, there remains a talented player who clearly has a point to prove.

Boasting a remarkable 31 goals and six assists in just 38 appearances across Spurs’ Under 23, 19 and 18 levels, the £3.24million valued starlet certainly knows where the goal is, racking up 12 direct goal involvements in total this term.
