'I paid £100 for Manchester Airport's meet and greet parking - and was left flustered and fed up'

We all know that the airport can sometimes be a stressful experience.

Getting there, parking up the car and getting to the check-in desk. All this needs to be considered before you can jet off on your holiday.

At Manchester Airport, there are a number of options for car parking including at the terminal or using the meet-and-greet. Amy Fenton, our colleague at our sister newspaper Lancs Live, paid £100 for meet-and-greet before her holiday to Rhodes with her daughter.

She booked this directly through On The Beach when she booked her trip last year. But when the time came around to park up and jet off, she said she felt 'fed up and flustered' after having to walk around 20 minutes, and 'what felt like to two miles' to the check-in desks at her terminal.

She said was told the meet-and-greet option at Terminal 2, where their flight was from, was fully booked. So ended up having to use the car park at Terminal 1.

Last year when my daughter and I booked a holiday to Rhodes, flying from Manchester, the time came for me to decide how we would get to the airport.

Considering that the meet and greet parking was only £20 or so dearer than parking at the ringway car park it was a no brainer for me. The process couldn't have been simpler - we turned up three hours before our flight, drove straight in, got our suitcases out and walked a few yards over the road to the terminal entrance.

So when I booked our summer getaway through On The Beach for this year, last September, I selected the option to choose meet and greet parking directly through the holiday
