"I'm torn on it" - Ooh To Be A Terrier looks at Huddersfield Town's excellent defensive options

I do wonder – and it’s hard to read the FA Cup selections – if they do stick with a four when Colwill’s back which hopefully will be against Fulham, although Carlos has learnt not to put dates on returns at this point.

Colwill should be back in training this week so hopefully he will be back for Fulham but who do you drop out of Matty Pearson and Tom Lees? I am genuinely torn on it. On paper I think you probably drop Pearson as Lees has more to his all round game but I wouldn’t and couldn’t make that argument very strongly - and if Carlos went with Pearson and put Lees on the bench I would completely understand it.

Yeah, they’ve both had a fairly metronomic level of fitness, Pearson’s had a couple of bouts of illness, I think Lees has had one too.

It’s very difficult but these are good problems to have. I think it depends a lot on the striker they’re up against and a one or two. You can’t really judge anything on Mitrovic next weekend because he’s a Premier League striker on Premier League money – there’s a reason he’s got 30 goals and that’s because he could and should be at a higher level, so you can’t really judge anything on him.
