'I’m not exactly a fitness fanatic, so I am a bit nervous' - Mum set to take on mammoth challenges in Parkinson's battle

A mum from Partington has vowed to raise £9k in nine months by completing nine challenges for charity.

Anna-Marie Stocks, 50, has taken on the 999 charity challenge to raise money for Parkinson’s UK.

For nine months throughout 2022, Anna will complete nine challenges including a 50k walk, a half marathon, a marathon, skydiving, abseiling and the UK’s longest zipwire.

“That’s why I had to go large or go home when it came to thinking up a fundraiser in her honour.

“For families like mine, finding effective treatments for conditions like Parkinson’s Disease is an emergency, so 999 seems appropriate.

“I’m not exactly a fitness fanatic, so I am a bit nervous, but one challenge for each decade of my mum’s life doesn’t even come close to telling her what an
