I'm A Celebrity's Joe Swash has spilled details about how his relationship with wife Stacey Solomon started. The former king of the jungle opened up about their marriage on a special episode of the South African 'all-star' edition of the show looking back at some of the unseen moments from the series.

Joe told his campmates that one of the first times he met Stacey, who he has been married to since 2022, she threw up all over the walls of his bathroom. But the actor and TV personality said there was “not much” she could do that would “put me off her”.

“One of the first times I met Stacey we got drunk on red wine, but Stacey is definitely not a drinker," Joe said. “She came back to my house and she said ‘I’ll tell you what, instead of me getting the lift up I’ll race you up the stairs’ – she was drunk."

He added: “By the time she got to the top of the stairs and got into my house before me, I went into the bathroom – when she’d run all the alcohol had mixed around her body. She puked all up the walls and puked on my mirror, it was brilliant mate.”

He also told the camp about a romantic gesture he made to show her how he felt about her that did not go down too well. Recalling his attempts to woo Stacey while he had been hosting the I'm A Celeb spin-off series Extra Camp, Joe said: “We just spent all day together every day for about a week, and I knew instantly, I could feel something coming from her.

“And if she was gonna go home and I was still out there for another two or three weeks, I thought, ‘wow, I’ve got to show her how I feel before she goes home’.
