'I'm a beautician – client's entitled request after late cancellation left me floored'
A woman who cancelled the treatment she had booked just 15 minutes before it was set to start has caused outrage with her 'entitld' request.
After cancelling last minute, she insisted on keeping her deposit to use for another treatment at a later date when she could attend.
The beauty therapist informed her that this wouldn't be possible, but she could rebook via her website, which caused the client to become irritated. On the Beauty Growth Academy podcast, host Alysha Bradley shared the exchange between the client and worker, leaving listeners astounded by the client's audacity.

The client said she couldn't make her appointment but didn't want to lose her deposit, so asked if she could come in "next week" instead. Alysha revealed that since the cancellation came "15 minutes before she was due to come for her one-hour appointment," she would be "unable to move" it as 48 hours' notice is required.
"To rebook your appointment, please use the booking link on my website. Hope everything is okay," she concluded the message.
The client retorted that she couldn't "help that something has come up" and requested again to simply "move" her appointment to avoid paying another £20 deposit. "Money is tight for me at the moment, and I've been coming to you for ages now! Surely you can understand," she said.
However, the technician insisted that while unforeseen circumstances occur, she now has a "one-hour gap in the diary," and due to the client's last-minute notice, she wasn't able to "fill" that slot. She stated she was happy for the client to come next week, but she'd have to rebook through her website, emphasising that she hoped
