Lots of Tottenham Hotspur fans have flooded to Twitter to share their thoughts on a fresh transfer claim to emerge regarding defender Tariq Lamptey. 

According to journalist Samuel Luckhurst, Spurs are one of the sides showing interest in the right wing-back, and it is believed the north Londoners’ interest is more ‘concrete’ than Manchester United’s.

The 21-year-old joined Brighton & Hove Albion back in 2020, but it is now believed the Seagulls will face some interest from other clubs for the services of the youngster.

And despite Spurs reportedly closing in on the signing of Adama Traore, these fans took to Twitter to share their excitement about being linked to the Brighton defender.

Lamptey has been working his way back into Graham Potter’s starting XI this season having sustained a major hamstring injury that saw him miss the entirety of pre-season.

However, in the games he has featured, it seems the young defender has impressed, and with Spurs reportedly looking to improve in that area, could he be the man Antonio Conte needs?
