I got my makeup done in the middle of a huge Trafford Centre queue and was stunned

Over the May Bank Holiday weekend, the Trafford Centre transformed itself into a paradise for beauty lovers. The Trafford centre was absolutely heaving with beauty addicts thanks to the Beauty Unfiltered event, and there was a buzz inside like I had never seen before.

The Trafford Centre’s Beauty Unfiltered event 2022 aimed to celebrate beauty that represents every individual, in all its gorgeous, unfiltered glory - and it did just that. Thanks to a diverse range of events and participants - there was something for pretty much everyone. I was impressed.

With a new temporary beauty studio located in Orient Way, there were a range of demonstrations, workshops, 1-2-1 consultations and exciting product offerings supported by beauty giants Selfridges and John Lewis. Boots hosted a separate consultation space whilst beauty clinic Thérapie offered skin treatments, discounts, goodie bags and prizes over a two-day period.

The uplifting ‘beauty tribe’, choreographed by Paul Swaby, showcased a powerful performance from a host of diverse talent and took place around the centre’s iconic Main Dome between 12 and 5pm daily to encourage and inspire visitors to feel confident and comfortable in their own unique, beautiful skin. To celebrate the lead-up to religious holiday Eid, the centre came alive with festivities from 6pm-10pm on Friday 29th and 6pm-9pm Saturday 30th April with beautiful harp music floating through the malls, henna art workshops and an explosive performance combining traditional instruments, music, costume and dance from the SonAash Sisters and award winning DnS Dholis.
