'I ditched my trainers for Oodie's £29 winter shoes hailed 'better than Skechers' - now they're on sale

Anyone who knows me, knows I love my trainers. I own dozens of pairs from brands like Clints, Nike, Patta, Adidas and BAPE, with a colourway to match pretty much any outfit I wear.

But while I adore my trainers, they're expensive, and not always the most practical of choices for wearing around the house, dog walks or driving without ruining them. Many people look to brands like Skechers for a more practical trainer, but as a fashion-conscious person, those don't cut the mustard for me. They may be comfy, but they're certainly not aesthetically pleasing enough for me.

That said, I set out to find a practical pair of winter shoes I could throw on for the more mundane everyday tasks, while still looking stylish. That's when I stumbled across Oodie's Black Puffer Boots - which some have hailed 'better than Skechers' for keeping feet warm, and have been heavily reduced in the Oodie Boxing Day sale, and are now £29 instead of £59 here.

Oodie is obviously best known for its hooded blankets, which have helped countless people to keep warm at home, and heating bills at bay. With such high regard for its clothing, I was keen to find out if its footwear would be met with the same adoration.

Priced at £29, down from £59 in the early Boxing Day sale, Oodie's Black Puffer Boots at first glance reminded me of North Face's Puffer Shoes - a £65 style I've had my eye on for a while. But as well as having an edge on price, coming up £7 cheaper, Oodie's had another benefit - a gorgeous sherpa fleece interior lining, meaning you don't even need to wear thick socks to get a cloud-like feel on your feet.
