Hull KR without more key men as Danny McGuire names squad for Warrington trip

Shaun Kenny-Dowall and Dean Hadley have joined the growing list of Hull Kingston Rovers stars absent for this Friday's trip to Warrington. Danny McGuire's 21-man squad includes yet more young talent from the club's Academy as the Robins' injury problems continue to bite.

The latest victims are Kenny-Dowall and Hadley, who left the field with neck and shoulder problems respectively during the win over Wakefield last Sunday. Neither have been deemed fit to feature on Friday night and despite stating just hours before naming the squad that Albert Vete was pushing to feature, he too is not included.

Instead, there are places for youngsters Phoenix Laulu-Toga'gae and Charlie Cavanaugh in the Robins' 21-man squad for the trip across the Pennines to face Daryl Powell's Wolves. They are joined by fellow youngsters including Connor Royle and Sam Royle. Louis Senior and Zach Fishwick are also not included. Huddersfield coach Ian Watson said last week the Giants would look at recalling players while Fishwich is understood to be ill.

Rovers remain only two points adrift of the play-off places but know they will be leapfrogged by the Wolves if they are beaten at the Halliwell Jones Stadium this weekend.

And they will have to do it the hard way too, with yet more key names joining a growing injury list.
