Hulk Hogan believes Jinder Mahal has the potential to be a 'new generation Hulk Hogan'

WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan has heaped praise on a WWE Superstar and claimed he has the potential to become the ‘new generation Hulk Hogan.’

Hogan, a global mainstream star in his heyday during the late 1980s and into the 1990s, shared a photo of himself and former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal onto his Instagram account, with some bold claims about the current SmackDown star.

The 68-year-old believes that The Modern Day Maharaja has all the tools to be a main eventer in the business and a ‘Hulk Hogan’ for the current generation.

The old school respect with the new school #JinderMahal physicality, he’s a bad man brother, with the right push he could be the new generation Hulk Hogan, he’s got it all brother!!!!

Jinder’s last televised victory on WWE TV came in October last year when he defeated Kofi Kingston. Although he has been part of recent episodes of SmackDown.

Mahal shocked the industry when he beat Randy Orton to win the WWE Championship at Backlash in May 2017. He would carry the belt for 170 days before losing to AJ Styles at a SmackDown show in Manchester in November.

Since then, Mahal hasn’t been part of a main event title picture, however, he did win the United States Championship during a Fatal-4-Way at WrestleMania 34, where he defeated Orton, Robert Roode and Rusev.

However, the 35-year-old will be part of WrestleMania weekend, having been announced as one of the participants competing in this year’s Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, which takes place on this Friday’s special WrestleMania edition of SmackDown.
