'Huge...' - Sky Sports now drop on air Man Utd manager update from 'sources close to' Ten Hag

Sky Sports have provided a further update in regards to Manchester United’s search for a new manager, revealing a ‘huge’ part of their talks this week.

The Red Devils have already spoken with one of four reported candidates, Erik ten Hag.

The Ajax boss has held ‘positive talks’ with United, although there is still ‘no favourite’ when it comes to Ralf Rangnick’s long-term replacement.

Mauricio Pochettino, Julen Lopetegui and Luis Enrique are also thought to be of interest to Old Trafford chiefs, but Sky Sports have had more to say on Ten Hag.

Sky Sports reporter Ben Ransom dropped a live TV update on Ten Hag and United on Wednesday evening.

He was informed by ‘sources close to’ United and Ten Hag following the interview with the Dutchman, revealing it went ‘very well’.

The United hierarchy were impressed by his ‘vision and philosophy’, with Ransom labelling that as a ‘huge part’ of United’s search for a new boss.

It could well prove to be a telling sign that Ten Hag appears to have been the first man interviewed to replace Rangnick.

He seems to have a made a good first impression with United chiefs in regards to his ‘vision and philosophy’, which seems to be key for the club going forward in what could turn out to be a major summer shake-up.

Of course, it would make sense to speak to other candidates over the coming months, but United won’t want to play it too cool with Ten Hag, especially as two other European clubs have made approaches for his services.
