Huge comedy festival featuring Jon Richardson, Sara Pascoe and Dara Ó Briain coming to Manchester

A huge comedy festival featuring some of the biggest names in stand-up will be coming to Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl next month.

The five-day Laughterama festival, running from September 4 to 8, will feature a range of big-name and homegrown comedians across seven shows who have appeared on our TV screens in the likes of 8 Out of 10 Cats, Taskmaster and Live At The Apollo.

Amongst the roster of talent to take to the stage during the event, which has been billed as Manchester’s biggest ever comedy festival, will include Jon Richardson, Sara Pascoe, Sophie Duker, Phil Wang, Mike Wozniak, Sam Campbell and Stewart Lee.

Each of the five nights features a different line-up of stars and will also include up-and-coming stars, like Edinburgh Comedy Award best newcomer nominee Lindsey Santoro and viral sensation Janine Harouni.

The festival, now in its third year, will also feature street food stalls and fully-stacked bars. Since its inception in 2022, the festival has featured the likes of James Acaster, Aisling Bea, and Josh Widdicombe.

Laughterama comes from organisers 57 Festivals, which is run by sibling duo Will Briggs and Cass Randolph and who have been the masterminds behind comedy programming at various different festivals in the last 15 years.
