Howe can finally axe £61m dud as NUFC plot bid to sign "exceptional" 25 y/o "wildcard" - opinion

Newcastle United are currently nine points off the relegation zone and are on course to achieve survival after failing to win any of their first 14 matches in the division.

Eddie Howe is set to save the day on Tyneside and one eye may now be on the steps they need to take to reach the next level – a top-half Premier League finish.

That’s what makes a really good player, for me, getting that work rate in because we know, with the ball his feet, he’s a top player. Can he do the rest going the other way? And he’s starting to show that now, so yeah, he’s doing well.”
