Competing teams have been assigned to northern and southern sections in advance of the draw.

New York was drawn to the southern section at a CCCC meeting earlier in the week.

In the northern section, all eight teams will be in one bowl, the first two out will meet each other and so on until the four pairings are made with the first drawn assuming home advantage.

Laois, Offaly, Wicklow, Carlow, Wexford and Waterford will be eligible for the preliminary round.

The first round of the southern section will contain the two counties who do not feature in the preliminary round, plus Tipperary, Westmeath and two preliminary round winners.

Preliminary matches will take place this weekend with the first round scheduled for the following weekend.
