How to watch Sporting Lisbon vs Man City: TV channel, live stream details and kick-off time

Manchester City will tonight be looking to put one foot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League when they face Sporting Lisbon in the first-leg of their last-16 showdown at the Jose Alvalade Stadium.

City, who reached the final of the competition last season, losing 1-0 to Chelsea in Porto, secured their place in the last-16 with four wins out of six in Group A, whilst Sporting finished runners-up to Ajax in Group C, clinching second place ahead of German giants Borussia Dortmund.

Pep Guardiola's side are one of the favourites to go deep into the competition once again this season and will be desperate to go one further than 12 months ago and lift their maiden Champions League crown.

However, Sporting, who are currently second in the Portuguese top-flight, are likely to pose a stern threat, meaning City will not be taking any risks in their attempts to take an advantage into the return leg at the Etihad Stadium.

Ahead of tonight's game, the Manchester Evening News has all of the important TV details that you're going to need.

What channel is Sporting Lisbon vs Man City on?

This evening's tussle in the Portuguese capital will be screened live on UK TV on BT Sport 3.

The coverage starts at 7:00pm and will feature an hour of expert analysis and debate ahead of kick-off at 8:00pm. The coverage will conclude at 10:30pm.

Can you stream Sporting Lisbon vs Man City?

Not on this occasion. BT Sport is the sole rights holder for Champions League coverage in the UK, meaning that will be the only place to watch this evening's match.

Alternatively, if you cannot access BT Sport, the Manchester Evening News website will have live text coverage of the game and all of the pre-match and post-match analysis that you'll need.
