How Theo Corbeanu and Lewis Wing have fared since leaving Sheffield Wednesday

Three players departed Sheffield Wednesday in the January transfer window.

Theo Corbeanu, Lewis Wing and Korede Adedoyin all left for pastures new. Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Corbeanu failed to win over Darren Moore and was in and out of the starting XI in the first half of the season. The Canadian international was handed just six league starts and was often played at wing-back.

Wing arrived at Hillsborough with a big reputation but was a major disappointment. He struggled for consistency and fell out of favour towards the end of his Owls career.

Striker Adedoyin, meanwhile, only made three senior appearances for Wednesday. The former Everton youngster featured in the Papa John's Trophy, converting a penalty in the Owls' comprehensive home win over Harrogate Town.

Here is how the trio have fared since leaving the Owls.

It has not taken the gifted winger long to establish himself as a first-team regular at Milton Keynes Dons. He has made seven starts and scored a spectacular goal in the Dons 2-1 win at Portsmouth.

Speaking earlier this month, Dons boss Liam Manning said: “He’s excited the fans because he’s different to what we’ve got. Theo’s been great.

"As a character he’s desperate to learn and he’s brought a different dimension to us; someone who can carry the ball, run past people. He gets people on the back foot because he faces you up and dribbles at you.

“He gets into dangerous areas that he creates himself. He can get us 40, 50, 60 metres up the pitch. It’s just the final bit now.

“We’ve sat down and spoken about areas he needs to get better at, in terms of end-product, but he’s such a constant threat, so that’ll come.”

The Dons sit third in the division, just three points off the automatic promotion spots.
