How Nottingham Forest loan spell has 'blown away' Aston Villa ace Keinan Davis

Striker Keinan Davis says he has been "blown away" by his time on loan at Nottingham Forest.

The forward has got better and better since joining the Reds from Aston Villa on the first day of the January transfer window. And he has played an integral role as the team have climbed up the Championship table.

Saturday’s brilliant opener against Birmingham City was his fifth goal in 18 appearances in the Garibaldi, and set Steve Cooper’s side on their way to a 2-0 win which lifted them to third in the rankings. It came in front of a sold-out City Ground, with Forest backed in huge numbers both home and away this season.

Davis is revelling playing in front of Reds fans. He is also enjoying getting regular game time - something he had struggled for at Villa Park.

“I don’t know how to describe it, but it’s not what I thought when I came in. I didn’t think it would be like this,” said the 24-year-old.

“I’ve just been shocked by the support and how the team plays. It’s been very good. I’ve been shocked in a very good way!

“It has definitely exceeded my expectations. I was unaware of what to expect. But I’ve been blown away, really, both in the club and outside of the club, with the support.

“I am having the time of my life, really. It is really good and I am enjoying every moment of it.

“The most important thing is staying injury-free, because in the past I have not had a good time with injuries. Now I am playing games and have a manager that believes in me.”
