How Manchester United should line up vs Tottenham in Premier League fixture
Manchester United take on Tottenham in the Premier League today.
United scraped a victory against Leicester City in the FA Cup when they were last in action, scoring in injury time through Harry Maguire to claim a 2-1 comeback win at Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim's focus now returns to the league and United will make their second visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this term after they visited Spurs for a Carabao Cup tie in December.
Tottenham have suffered a worse season than United and pressure is building on Ange Postecoglou, who has overseen a dismal run of results.
Regarding the team news, Amorim said United have "one or two issues" when speaking at his pre-match press conference and revealed an unnamed player was suffering from sickness.
Here's how our writers think United should line up...
Samuel Luckhurst
Alejandro Garnacho and Joshua Zirkzee were game-changers against Leicester and deserve to be back in the starting XI. The back three picks itself with Lisandro Martinez out until late summer, at the earliest, and Amorim needs to try and provide some continuity further afield.
United are actually quite settled in the majority of the departments apart from on the wings. It cannot be Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui while it would be too great a leap to throw Patrick Dorgu in after a "nervous" 45-minute debut. At least it wasn't as bad as Patrice Evra's bow at City in 2006.
Amad is effective as a winger or as a playmaker and, for the time being, he should be on the wing for the run-in.
Tyrone Marshall
This should be a real chance for United to lay down a statement after their longest block of training at Carrington to date. Amorim has to go with his strongest team, with another free midweek to follow,
