How Manchester United should line up vs Wolves in Premier League fixture

Manchester United welcome Wolves to Old Trafford in a crunch Premier League game on Saturday afternoon.

United's performances and results at home have been excellent all season, but they have tended to struggle on the road and they must respond after suffering back-to-back defeats against Brighton and West Ham last week.

Liverpool are breathing down United's necks and with just four league games remaining, Erik ten Hag will be aware of the importance of securing three points against Wolves, who have retained their topflight status with Julen Lopetegui in charge.

The alternative to David de Gea is Crystal Palace's erstwhile third choice who is due to be released by them this summer. If De Gea is to ever make way for a back-up in the run-in, it should be if a penalty shootout looms in the FA Cup final.

United need to be as front-footed as possible, so Diogo Dalot has to come in for Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Raphael Varane is too vital to be benched but Victor Lindelof deserves to continue, so Luke Shaw goes back to left-back.

Casemiro should be fresher after two testing away days and the merry-go-round continues up front. If Marcus Rashford cannot make it then United have little choice but to go with Anthony Martial. Jadon Sancho gets in by default but Alejandro Garnacho has to be used.

Tyrone Marshall

The return of Varane is a bonus but he is a little injury prone and with Lindelof and Shaw playing well there doesn't seem to be any need to rush him back for this game. Dalot can switch to right-back and Malacia can come into the team to offer better
