How Man United should line up vs Brentford in Premier League fixture as Amorim can hand out debut

Manchester United play Brentford in the Premier League this afternoon.

United's focus is on winning the Europa League and Ruben Amorim's side secured an outstanding 3-0 victory against Athletic Bilbao ahead of the second leg at Old Trafford next week.

Amorim is expected to rotate his starting team against Brentford at the Gtech Stadium and he has confirmed Noussair Mazraoui will not play because he's at the "limit to get an injury."

United should play a completely different outfield team. There is no need to rotate the goalkeeper and Andre Onana has had a steady few weeks.

Matthijs de Ligt and Amad could do with more minutes as starters after their return from injury in midweek. The midfield is an issue as United do not have a designated holding midfielder and that might be a role Mason Mount has to temporarily adopt. He has not created much and often gets booked, so he should be able to adapt.

It is a logical day to give Chido Obi a full debut and Jaydan Kamason would be the natural pick in the absence of a senior right back/right winger.

United's commanding position from the unexpected events in Bilbao have given Amorim licence to pick a stronger team than might otherwise have been the case, but I don't see the need to risk it, especially with a final now coming into view. Eleven changes it is.

That means Bayindir gets a start in goal. In defence, Fredricson is back in, Shaw can start again on the left and it's a chance to get substantial minutes into De Ligt, with a view to him starting on Thursday night.

Mazraoui and Dorgu are certainties to be rested and that means Kamason can make his debut and it's another start for Amass. Mainoo can play
