How Man City should line up vs West Ham with Phil Foden out

Pep Guardiola looks set to be without Phil Foden once again as Manchester City take on West Ham at the London Stadium.

Having missed the win over Ipswich last week, Foden will be given time to recover until after the international break - throwing his participation for England in doubt. Guardiola said: "He played 45 minutes against Chelsea and after he didn't feel good. We made tests, he feels better but he doesn't feel perfect so we prefer to give him time to come back after the international break and be ready for the next games."

Mateo Kovacic looks set to recover from the issue that forced him off against Ipswich, while Rodri has stepped up his own training after a late arrival back at City following his Euro 2024 exploits.

Savinho, Jeremy Doku and Erling Haaland are likely to retain their places, while Rico Lewis is the form option ahead of Kyle Walker - who is yet to play a minute this season.

An international break is approaching, which means John Stones will play both games
