How is ex-Charlton Athletic player Kevin Lisbie getting on these days?

The high point of the striker’s Valley tenure was surely his hat-trick in the 3-2 win against Liverpool in 2003 but there is a strong argument to be made that he played his best football away from the south London club.

Lisbie bounced around the EFL after leaving Charlton, particularly impressing in multiple spells at Colchester United before spending a fruitful four years with Leyton Orient – scoring 48 goals and providing 16 assists in 125 appearances for the O’s.

The former Jamaican international dropped down into non-league football soon after leaving Brisbane Road and remains on the books at Isthmian Premier League club Cray Valley Paper Mills.

He first joined the Eltham-based club in October 2017 and was expected to retire after the 2019 FA Vase final at Wembley, which his side lost 3-1 to Chertsey Town.

However, he is still named as a squad member on the club website despite not featuring for the club since the 2020/21 campaign.

In January 2020, Lisbie stepped into coaching by taking up a position at one of his former clubs, Orient.

As per Radio Jamaica News, the striker joined the O’s as a youth coach and was responsible for recommending young talent to Jobi McAnuff during his time as a first-team coach with the east London club.
