Hollyoaks legend teases Sienna Blake major bombshell after Ethan Williams reunion

Hollyoaks' Anna Passey has teased that the engagement between Sienna Blake and Ethan Williams may not lead to the fairytale ending fans are hoping for.

During Hollyoaks' groundbreaking first 'time hop' episode on Monday (September 16), it was unveiled that one of the beloved couples had reconciled as the narrative jumped ahead by a year.

The Channel 4 soap provided glimpses into each character's life over the elapsed year, with Sienna flaunting an impressive engagement ring, later confirmed to be linked to her rekindled romance with Ethan, portrayed by Matthew James Bailey.

Ethan and Sienna's journey began nearly two years prior, quickly becoming one of the soap's most-discussed pairings. Yet their relationship met a controversial end last year.

Although viewers have been clamouring for their reunion, show runners have previously decided against it, sending both characters off on different courses until now, reports the Mirror.

Reflecting on Sienna's convoluted love story, Anna remarked: "Sienna and Ethan have done such a good job at ruining it for themselves for the last year and a half that I don't think you could have left it without them saying the things they needed to say."

Referring to the surprise time leap, she added: "When we heard the news there was going to be the year time jump everyone thought for their characters 'what is going to look like?' and for me I thought 'I'm either going to be in a pit of misery or she might just be happy'."

Anna noted that Sienna's relationships tend to be short-lived, but emphasized that the journey, not just the destination, is important. She stated: "I think what's nice about the Sienna storyline is we'll get to learn snippets of what's gone on and that adds a new interesting
