Hollyoaks couple Nadine Mulkerrin and Rory Douglas-Speed welcome second child with first adorable photos

Hollyoaks couple Nadine Mulkerrin and Rory Douglas-Speed have announced the safe arrival of their second child. The Channel 4 soap actors shared their happy news on social media.

The loved-up couple, who met on the Hollyoaks set and got engaged in 2018, revealed their pregnancy news on Christmas Day 2021 with an adorable image of their first child, Reggie, sitting in front of a Christmas tree looking at a baby scan.

Nadine, who recently left the soap as Cleo McQueen, captioned the photo: "'This better not be my only gift mum'" along with a heart emoji. Rory, who plays Joel Dexter in Hollyoaks, posted a similar snap of their son with the words: "Well. Here we go again…. I ‘think Reggie is warming to the idea of having a little brother or sister."

Sharing the news of their latest arrival, the real-life couple posted the first pictures of their newborn, while also revealing the name of the newest addition to their family. "Dougie James Speed, Reggie’s new partner in crime," Rory wrote on social media. "Thank you again to Liverpool Women’s Hospital for all that they do, they are amazing. Slowly but surely building the football team."

Nadine also shared the same pictures to her own Instagram. page, writing: "Reggie would like to introduce you all to his new little brother Dougie James Speed. 8.1lbs, 24/05/2022."

She then added: "He’s our chilled, fuzzy little old man that’s completed our family! That’ll be me now, a life of dinosaurs, cars and willies flying." And their posts were soon filling up with messages from their co-stars and fans.
