Holly Willoughby left heartbroken by family death amid celebrations for son's 9th birthday as she says 'be kind'

Holly Willoughby has shared her heartbreak after being hit by a second family tragedy in just a matter of months. The This Morning presenter opened up in her weekly newsletter which she writes and sends to the subscribers of her brand, Wylde Moon.

In her latest message, Holly shared how she'd experienced both the highest of highs and lowest of lows over the weekend as she and her family were hit by a tragic loss amid celebrating her youngest son, Chester's, 9th birthday.

The 42-year-old took to Instagram over the weekend to share how she had taken the kids to see Mrs Doubtfire in the West End for her son's birthday. Posing with the case on stage after the show, Holly said: "I took Chester and the kids to see @doubtfireuk at the weekend for Chester’s 9th birthday (yes 9 already!) wow wow wow… so fantastic, so funny… laughed all the way through… brilliant cast! Some people are so incredibly talented…"

But she has since shared how her weekend was marred by heartbreak following the loss of her uncle, Ray. "Hi, how’re you feeling?" she kicked off her latest newsletter before saying: "I’m not sure where to begin today..." with a sad face emoji.

The mum-of-three continued: "It’s been a weekend of very different emotions for us as a family, as whilst we celebrated Chester’s 9th birthday, we also had to say a heartbreaking goodbye to my Uncle Ray. Every one of my thoughts are with my mum, cousins and everyone who’s feeling his loss right now. It’s another poignant reminder of how precious life is and to make sure I hold my loved ones close."
