Hogwarts Legacy: Will Quidditch be playable in the game?

Hogwarts Legacy is one of the most anticipated games of the decade.

The upcoming release will take players back into the wizarding world previously occupied by Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Dumbledore.

It will be set in the 1800s, though, so players won’t be crossing paths with the characters from JK Rowling’s books, although there could be a few ancestors knocking around in the open world.

Players will be sorted into their respective houses – or they can upload the house they were sorted into on the Wizarding World website – and will then be tasked with unravelling a mystery within Hogwarts.

There have been plenty of questions surrounding the game, though, and one of the most prominent centres around Quidditch.

The iconic wizarding sport sees students from Hogwarts chasing the Golden Snitch in teams based on their respective houses.

In the films, we saw Harry, Ron, and Hermione attend the Quidditch World Cup, while Potter became one of the best seekers in the world at the same time.

But will players have the chance to play the sport in Hogwarts Legacy?

We now have an official answer to this, and it is sadly no.

The game’s official FAQ page has a number of answers and one of those reveals whether or not Quidditch will be in the game.

The answer is as follows: “Quidditch is not playable in Hogwarts Legacy. However, broom flight for traversal and broom race challenges are part of the game. Players can also fly brooms to explore new and familiar locations surrounding Hogwarts Castle.”

So for fans who were hoping to fly on their broom, you’re in luck, and you will have the chance to do so.

But there will be no Quidditch gameplay in Hogwarts Legacy, which may come as a blow to some fans of the series!
