History in London, & head coaches on the hot seat?: 5 major talking points for NFL Week 5

The NFL is set to enter Week 5, and just as there is every week, there are an abundance of storylines that have to be talked about, but we’ve decided to just focus on the five big ones.

With Week 4 in the books, we are past what used to be called the ‘first quarter’ of games in the NFL schedule, although with the introduction if an extra game and an extra week on the calendar, the maths of that is ever so slightly off, but that doesn’t make the season any less exciting even when you bring maths into it.

It might sound a bit cliche, but this is a historical week in the NFL, at least it is if you’re an NFL fan on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, as we get to see the Green Bay Packers play their first regular season game outside of North America, becoming the last team to do so since the NFL International Games began in 2007.

But that is just one storyline in a week that has plenty of potential to provide us with some drama, big moments and perhaps even the very first personnel change of the year. The bye weeks still haven’t kicked in yet, and so with there being a full slate of 16 games, it’s hard to keep track of all that’s going on around the NFL, which is why we’ve broken it down into just five of what we think are the biggest topics.

In no particular order:

As we hinted at earlier, this week sees the Green Bay Packers break their duck when it comes to playing in London as they take on the New York Giants. The decision to have them play any game here is perhaps shocking, even more so with it being a home game, as quarterback Aaron Rodgers made it known a few years ago:
