'Hilarious and heartbreaking' black comedy finally returns after two years and will 'rip your heart out'

After a long two-year wait since the riveting black comedy concluded its inaugural run, one of the standout new entries of the 2020s makes its anticipated return.

Boasting an impressive cast of Irish stars and creative minds, the 10-part mystery series captivated audiences during its 2022 debut, culminating in a revealing conclusion last October.

Now, with over a year having passed, devotees are eager for the comeback of Eva Garvey (played by Sharon Horgan) and her unwittingly scheming sisters.

We're of course referring to Bad Sisters, which is making a splash with a dual-episode season opener on Apple TV+ today (Wednesday, November 13).

Even before viewers dive into tonight's generous helping of television intrigue, glowing critiques have been streaming in, reports the Mirror.

The Radio Times has declared in their piece: "Hilarious and heartbreaking with every breath, it'll rip your heart right out."

Their five-star review praises the latest instalment as being "better than ever", stating that "The second season exemplifies what Bad Sisters does best: splices the ridiculous joy of life with its bleakest moments.

"It's more sombre in tone than the first season, but as fiery, twisted and shocking, which will keep viewers second-guessing throughout.
