Helen Skelton squirms over Strictly co-star rumours as ex Richie Myler poses with new girlfriend

Helen Skelton was left squirming after her rumoured new romance hit the headlines. The Countryfile host has been linked to Strictly Come Dancing pro Vito Coppola after the pair went head-to-head in the final of the BBC One dance contest in December before hitting the road on the Strictly Live tour.

The presenter was teased about the news stories on her Radio 5 Live show on Sunday (March 5) and quickly shut down any chat about her possible love life after splitting from her rugby star ex husband Richie Myler. Helen announced their separation back in April 2022.

She penned on her Instagram Story at the time: "Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co parent our small children." Richie and Helen share three children - Ernie, Louis, and Elsie Kate, who was born in the December before their split.

Back to now and as she wrapped up her latest appearance on Radio 5 Live, newsreader Steve quipped to Helen "Just looking at the papers. Er, the front page of The Mirror is interesting." In response, Helen thanked him for appearing on the show before she added: "Put the papers down, thank you."

Helen was back on the radio after recently enjoying a break away with her children. The 39-year-old was dubbed a 'Bond girl' as she delved into her digital photo album while basking in the winter sunshine during a half-term holiday to Lanzarote.
