West Ham may not have the budget to sign someone like Real Madrid attacker Isco this summer, claims transfer insider Dean Jones.

The 29-year-old has been linked with a move to the London Stadium, but it appears that his wages could be a stumbling block.

According to EL ESPANOL, West Ham are one of several clubs who are interested in signing Isco when the transfer window opens.

The Spanish outlet claims that David Moyes would be delighted to have the attacking midfielder in his squad, though he faces competition from the likes of Sevilla and Fiorentina.

Isco has seen little action this season, making less than five starts in La Liga, so it perhaps could be time for him to move on.

His contract expires in the summer, so West Ham have the chance to pick up the 38-cap Spain international on a free transfer.

While Isco is not going to cost his next club a fee if he does leave Madrid this summer, Jones believes it could still be a tricky transfer for West Ham due to the player’s large wages.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the football journalist said: “To be honest, I’m not sure they have the budget to sign somebody like Isco because, when it comes to wages, he’s coming from Real Madrid. He’s not looking for lemonade money.”

If West Ham can overcome that potential financial hurdle – his wages – then Isco could be a great addition to their squad.

He is a winner with so much experience at the top level, claiming four Champions League trophies and two league titles with Madrid.

In terms of his playing style, Isco is obviously a very technical player like most No.10s, so he would bring an extra bit of flair to Moyes’ team.
