'He's not going to play' - BBC man drops claim on Rangers ace

Regular BBC commentator Paul Parker has claimed that on-loan Rangers ace Amad Diallo needs a softer loan move following his temporary switch to Ibrox.

Diallo joined Rangers on loan in January but has featured just five times in the league since he arrived at the club. It was a dream start to life in Scotland for the young winger when he scored just five minutes into his debut.

The Ivorian joined Manchester United for £19m last January but has made just nine first-team appearances since, and Ralf Rangnick decided it was the right move for him to go out on loan.

With Diallo failing to stamp his mark in Scotland since his arrival, ex-United defender Parker has claimed that he needs a ‘softer’ loan move next season to help aid his development if his short-term future does not lie at Old Trafford.

He said: “I think they need to get him back in or he needs to go somewhere that’s gonna be a little more softer for him. Cause, if he’s gonna play for United in the Premier League where the refereeing is softer, there’s not any great physicality, he needs to come back and somebody needs to get their arm around him cause I think he is having a tough tough time and they need to get him back.

“He is not going to play for Rangers, they are going to maybe suffer the indignity of not defending the title they won under [Steven] Gerrard.

“So it’s going to be tough on the fans and him coming from Manchester United as well, they are going to be very, very demanding.”
