'He's coming': Manchester United fans react after Antony's agent teases transfer

Manchester United are looking set to announce their fifth signing of the summer with Ajax winger Antony close to joining in a potentially record deal. The 22-year-old was omitted from the Ajax squad for the second successive game at FC Utrecht and it is understood United have now agreed a deal to sign the winger.

The Manchester Evening News revealed last week United were due to bid again for Antony and were confident of signing the Brazil international.

Although Ajax rejected an improved offer on Friday, United are hopeful of agreeing an overall package that could near €100million (£84.66m). For most of the summer, United have been reluctant to meet Ajax's valuation of Antony and club figures doubted a deal was doable at the start of July, the MEN understands.

But after he made his desire to join United public, the deal was seemingly pushed forward and now, the player's agent has all but confirmed the signing with a post suggesting that they're on the way to Manchester.

One of Antony's representatives, Junior Pedroso, posted an Instagram story with the caption reading: "Here we go", in red and white font.

And United fans are certainly pleased to see this.
