Frank Lampard is fast approaching two months in charge of Everton and has had mixed results since his appointment.

The 43-year-old has overseen 10 games as Blues boss since replacing Rafa Benitez at the end of January. And the ex-England midfielder has already endured highs and lows at Goodison Park.

Positive home wins against Leeds and Newcastle, as well as victories in the FA Cup, have been contrasted with several poor away performances. Yet to draw a game as Everton manager, it has been a case of all or nothing.

The Toffees currently sit three points above the relegation zone with 11 games to go and have played fewer matches than the sides around them - but Lampard was given a reminder of the task facing him after the weekend’s demoralising FA Cup defeat to Crystal Palace.

After the loss at Selhurst Park, Lampard said , “The job's to stay up, that's the reality of it. If you offer any Evertonian did they want to win today and get to Wembley or to stay up, we all know what the answer is.

"It's not that clear-cut, I know that. And that's not me getting out that that was anywhere near the message because the players just performed at 70% throughout the whole game. 70%.

"That's not good enough and the reality is that's the league. We've got 11 fights left."

Though the former Chelsea manager admits his objective to transform Everton is a more long-term project, he still has the immediate aim of retaining the club’s Premier League status.
