Hasim Rahman Jr 'can't wait' to prove people wrong as he looks to 'expose' Jake Paul

Hasim Rahman Jr says he ‘can’t wait’ to prove people wrong as he prepares to face Jake Paul.

Rahman Jr, the only son of the boxing legend, is set to face the American social media star at Madison Square Garden in New York on August 6.

It will be his first fight since being knocked out by Kenzie Morrison back in April.

Rahman’s chances of winning the grudge match have been written off by many.

But he is understandably in a confident mood due to his wealth of amateur experience.

And while admitting that he may have underestimated Morrison, the former amateur boxer believes he is capable of inflicting a first defeat on the trash-talking YouTuber.

During an appearance on The MMA Hour, Rahman said: “I like to see the look on people’s faces afterward.

“My last fight, I admittedly took my opponent lightly. I didn’t think Kenzie was as good as he was. I think if I hadn’t, we would have had a different result.”

“I think the work that I’ve put in and the work that I’m putting in is more than sufficient to get the job done.

“I don’t think he can match me skill for skill. His only hope is that I get tired and I fatigue in some way and he lands a big punch.

“But I don’t think he’s going to keep standing — I’m going to put these paws on him, and I don’t think Jake’s been in this amount of pain yet.

“I feel like it’s the catapult that I needed to get to a world title.”
