Harvey Elliott makes another heartwarming gesture after making England U21 debut

Harvey Elliott made a young fans' night as he handed over his boots following his first outing with the England U21s.

The Liverpool youngster played for the Three Lions as they saw off Andorra 4-1.

Elliott started with teammate Curtis Jones on the bench at the Vitality Stadium. Elliot played the whole nine minutes with Jones coming on after the hour mark as Jacob Ramsey and Folarin Balogun were among the scorers.

Elliott was making his debut for the U21s and after the final whistle had gone was approached by a fan who ran onto the pitch. The 18-year-old handed him his boots, which is not the first time he's performed such a gesture.

The Liverpool star saw his season cut short back in September after picking up an injury at Leeds.

He was stretchered off of the pitch after being on the receiving end of a Pascal Struijk tackle. Elliot had to undergo surgery on a dislocated ankle but has since returned to the first team picture.

Whilst in hospital he still found time to give his shirt from the match and his boot to a young fan who was also in his hospital bay.

In a WhatsApp screenshot posted on Twitter, the Dad of the young boy messaged a friend saying: “My son has just broke his arm at a footy game this afternoon. Who comes in on next bed to him… Harvey Elliott and his family. Gives him his LFC top from the game and his shoe. Son’s buzzing now.”

Elliott quickly return to the Liverpool XI once he had recovered from his injury, but has been absent from the last couple of games for Jurgen Klopp's side. The German has since explained that, with the team still eyeing the quadruple, he was attempting to manage the teenager's workload.
