Harvey Elliott: Liverpool man's father couldn't contain his emotions after goal v Cardiff
Harvey Elliott enjoyed a dream return to Liverpool action on Sunday afternoon.
The youngster had been out of action since the middle of September, after he suffered a dislocated ankle in Liverpool’s Premier League clash against Leeds United.
Elliott has worked hard to come back and he was on the bench for their FA Cup clash against Cardiff City on Sunday.
The 18-year-old entered the fray in the 58th minute with Liverpool leading 1-0.
He scored a quite brilliant goal – his first in a Liverpool shirt – just 18 minutes after coming on.
Elliott produced a pinpoint touch inside the box before rifling an unstoppable volley into the back of the net. It was a wonderful finish.
His father, Scott, was inside Anfield and he couldn’t contain his emotions after watching his son’s goal.
His reaction was captured by Twitter user @SaadWadia_ and you can view it below…
What an unbelievable moment. Harvey Elliots dad seeing his boy just score in front of the kop! A life long Liverpool fan ❤️ I’m in tears
