Harry Redknapp agrees with Paul Merson on Manchester United vs Tottenham prediction

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp believes that tonight's clash between his old club and Manchester United is too close to call.

United come into Wednesday night's game on the back of a frustrating goalless draw with Newcastle on Sunday. Meanwhile, Spurs are in fine form after beating Everton 2-0 on Saturday teatime.

That victory for tonight's visitors sees them sit third ahead of kick off, level on points with Manchester City and four behind leaders Arsenal. Whereas United are three points off fourth place Chelsea and seven behind Tottenham although they do have a game in hand on the North London club.

"They have had one or two players in. But I still think they are short, whether or not they make the top four, it’s going to be tight for them.

"I wouldn’t want to bet against Tottenham, but if I was forced to pick a result, then I would go for a draw."

Redknapp agrees with Paul Merson, who is also predicting a draw this evening with a 1-1 scoreline. "This is a must-win game for United, and I don't think that is the case for Tottenham. Antonio Conte will want to make sure his team doesn't lose this match, and he'll be the happier of the two managers with a draw. Tottenham will make sure they don't lose this match," Merson told Sportskeeda.
