Harry Maguire, Eddie Nketiah and Alex Iwobi - the list of Premier League stars fans think could be mysterious rapper Dide

In recent weeks football and music fans alike have been sent down a rabbit hole trying to decipher who a new mysterious rapper is. Dide has taken the internet by storm after claiming to be a top flight Premier League player.

Little is known about the rapper who so far has only released three songs and raps with a designer mask that is embellished with black and silver roses. Seemingly coming from out of nowhere, Dide who has now garnered almost 72K followers on Instagram with his videos raking in more than a million views.

He describes himself in his Instagram bio as a ‘rapper at home, footballer on the pitch’ and on his posts you will see hordes an hordes of comments proclaiming who he could possibly be. Dide’s followers have been having fun with their guesses with a mixture of some solid guesses based off calculated research and while others have taken the chance to create an alter ego for their favourite unassuming professional footballer.

Who do the fans think Dide is?

Eddie Nketiah

Dide raps with a distinctively Southern accent so many fans have already predicted that he most likely from London, or plays for a London club. During the early days of of the identity search some inquisitive fans made the bold prediction that Dide was in fact Arsenal starlet Eddie Nketiah with some making the strenuous link that Dide was an anagram for Eddi.

Alex Iwobi

Another educated guess that points to Dide’s presumed southern routes. While Iwobi may a little older than the age the rapper referenced in the song, the bars about his attributes lined up quite well.
