Harry Kane's team-mates 'have let him down' which may force Bayern move, says Luis Garcia

Harry Kane could move to Bayern Munich because he is always ‘let down’ by his Tottenham team-mates, according to Luis Garcia.

Kane has been linked with a move to Bayern as they seek a replacement for Robert Lewandowski following his switch to Barcelona this summer.

Bayern chief executive Oliver Kahn has described Kane as an ‘absolutely top striker’ and a ‘dream of the future’ for the Bundesliga giants, who have won the last 10 German titles.

Kane was desperate to join Manchester City last summer but Spurs rejected at least two offers for the England captain, who reluctantly stayed in north London, although he is thought to be happier at the club now under Antonio Conte.

However, the 28-year-old has made no secret of his desire to challenge for titles and he has never won one at Spurs, who last lifted a major trophy in 2008 when they won the League Cup.

Kane has scored 248 goals in 386 games for Tottenham across all competitions and Garcia – who played for some of the biggest clubs in Europe including Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Liverpool – feels it is time for him to move on.

‘It must be on the table,’ Garcia told ESPN FC. ‘Harry Kane was mentioned last year and the year before with a move.

‘He wants to win trophies and he wants to challenge for every competition. He always delivers but the team just lets him down, so it could be an option.

‘Bayern Munich have a big place up front where a No.9 could join. It is a fantastic option for Harry Kane. Not just in sixth months or in a year, it might be the right moment [now].
