Harry Kane admits ‘no words make up for’ miserable Tottenham week after Wolves loss

Harry Kane has admitted “no words make up for” the week Tottenham endured following their miserable loss at home to Wolves on Sunday.

Raul Jimenez and Leander Dendoncker punished the home side for a series of defensive mistakes, just as Southampton had done only days before.

The result leaves Spurs sitting eight in the Premier League having suffered three losses on the bounce, the first time Antonio Conte has done so since 2009.

With a trip to Manchester City up next, things get no easier for Tottenham in their battle to qualify for next season’s Champions League. Currently, they sit four points off rivals West Ham in fourth, albeit Conte’s side do boast games in hand.

Still, the manner of their two most recent defeats are undoubtedly concerning.

“A tough and disappointing week,” wrote Kane on Twitter.

“ No words will make up for it, we have to keeping working hard and make sure we are ready for the games ahead.”
