Haaland worry, De Bruyne injury, Grealish fit - How Man City could line up after international break

Manchester City will hope to have three injured players back to face Arsenal - and they will also hope that no other players pick up setbacks on international break amid an Erling Haaland injury concern.

Pep Guardiola always asks his players not to get injured when they represent their countries - and this week he asked them to be sensible when it comes to playing friendlies for their countries before an intense run-in across three competitions back at City. He knows his players are no longer his for the next fortnight, but he wants them in the best condition when they return to Manchester.

Curiously, Jack Grealish was on the bench against Newcastle but has not been called up by England and will instead undergo a 10 day training plan back at the City Football Academy, after some time off. Grealish will be fit for the Arsenal game in 12 days time, which will hand City a useful boost in their quest to beat the Gunners and take a huge step towards the title.

There will also be time for Kevin De Bruyne and Ederson, who have both been left out of their international squads with injury, to return to fitness. Guardiola said both should be back after the break, but that doesn't guarantee a start against Arsenal - although Guardiola did say 'Kevin will be back' when discussing the longer-term state of his forwards.
