Haaland, Sterling, Jesus: The XI of Premier League signings who will shine this season

The Premier League can make or break a summer signing.

The likes of Thierry Henry, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Sergio Aguero have all made the English shores their own home over the years with legendary performances, but for each move that makes a hero, there’s seemingly one that amounts to zero.

It is, after all, uncanny that top-class players like Andriy Shevchenko, Radamel Falcao and Juan Sebastián Verón have all come to the Premier League during their careers and simply not gotten along with the style of play.

As such, the process of predicting which signings will prove to be inspired business and which will go down as financial disasters depends on far more factors than just how talented the player in question really is.

But the difficulty of reading whether a new signing will fly or flop isn’t enough to stop us from trying here at GIVEMESPORT, because there are few things that we love more than a good old Premier League prediction.

Naturally, we’ve given our forecast for the final 2022/23 table, as well as our best guess for the Team of the Season, but now it’s time to hone in on the signings that we think will either thrive or toil.

And we’ve got our positive hats on this weekend as we’ve named our XI of players who have either been signed permanently or arrived on loan to a Premier League that we think will absolutely tear it up this season.

Obviously, we hope that every new signing goes onto enjoy a stellar season, but the unavoidable reality is that flops do pop up each year and we just happen to think these stars are most likely to avoid that status.
