Haaland, Mead, Salah, Kerr: The most valuable Premier League and WSL XIs
The Women’s Super League got off to a dramatic start this weekend, with 22 goals scored in total as record attendances were set across the country.
Aston Villa stunned Manchester City, Liverpool earned a shock victory over Chelsea, and Manchester United and Arsenal both achieved 4-0 wins.
With interest in the WSL higher than ever, clubs are paying an increasing amount of money for players, with Keira Walsh moving from Manchester City to Barcelona for a record £400,000.

Nearly half of the WSL’s most valuable XI is made up of Chelsea stars, with Magda Eriksson, Guro Reiten, Pernille Harder, Fran Kirby and Sam Kerr all featuring.
Given the Blues have won the WSL for the past three seasons, it is easy to see why their players are among the most valuable in England. Kerr’s astonishing goal-scoring record makes it no surprise that she is the joint most valuable player.
