Grieving mum shares heartbreaking pic of daughter, 12, just days before she took her own life
A grieving mum of a 12-year-old girl who took her own life has released a heartbreaking photo of her daughter.
The image of Semina Halliwell, a year seven pupil at Stanley High School in Southport, Merseyside, was taken days before she tragically took her own life. She had reported that she was raped by an older boy, who she claims had groomed her over Snapchat.
Following an interview with a police officer, Semina's mum, Rachel, said that her young daughter took her own life. She is now raising concerns over how the police handled her daughter's case, stating that she believes the force "failed her daughter".

Her mum said that Merseyside Police Officers who were investigating Semina's alleged rape made her "feel like an inconvenience" - she says she has since complained to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
The grieving mum's heartache was made worse by the fact that cruel bullies had continued to target her daughter even after her death. Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Rachel stated that she wanted to release the saddening image of her daughter to warn about the horrific impact bullying can have. In the photo, Semina can be seen in hospital, clearly upset and with a tube up her nose.
Once the allegations of rape came to light, Rachel said Semina was interviewed by Merseyside Police who "started talking about all the forms he'd have to
