Greater Manchester weekend weather forecast with chance of showers on Saturday and Sunday

Forecasters say it is likely to be dry and overcast with the chance of some showers in Greater Manchester. this weekend However, we are set to avoid the worst of wet weather, which has seen warnings of possible put in place in other parts of the country.

After a dry, if overcast, start to the day, the Met Office say there is an 'outside chance' rain could move in this afternoon. Some north eastern areas, including Oldham and Rochdale, could see downpours from around 1pm.

The city centre could well stay dry until around this time. Lighter shows are expected to linger until past 11pm. Yet forecasters say for most it will be a 'largely bright day with sunny spells and just the outside chance of a shower.'

Tonight it will be 'generally dry this evening with clear spells but the possibility of an isolated shower.' Yet it will turn 'cloudier overnight with scattered showers developing.' It could feel chillier with temperatures dropping to around 5C.
