It is no surprise then that these areas are rife with million-pound mansions, with some streets in particular being known as a 'millionaires row'.
Looking at the average house prices across Greater Manchester, a new tool by Property Solvers has found the streets where the highest-priced homes are located.

Unsurprisingly, all of the priciest roads to live on are in Trafford, specifically in the prestigious town of Altrincham.
Here are Greater Manchester's top 10 most expensive streets, where you can expect the average price of a home to range anywhere from £3.3 million to £1.8 million.
Barrow Lane, Altrincham
The region's most expensive street, Barrow Lane, is located in Hale.
The average house price here is a whopping £3,325,00.
Broadway, Altrincham
Broadway, also in Hale, is a rather pricey street where homes sell for an average of £2,579,00.
Green Walk, Altrincham
This street in Bowdon is currently the third most expensive in Greater Manchester.
Properties on this road sell for an average price of £2,392,000.
Rappax Road, Altrincham
Rappax Road in Hale also makes the list of the priciest streets, where homes sell for an average of £2,037,500.
Broad Lane, Altrincham
Also in Hale, Broad Lane is one of the most expensive streets to live in Greater Manchester.
The average house price here is £1,950,000.
