“Great to see” – Sheffield United fan pundit praises club with fresh player agreement in the pipeline

Sheffield United’s FLW fan pundit, Owain Wyse, has stated that Billy Sharp has earned whatever length of contract he likes at Bramall Lane. 

Sharp continues to be the Blades’ talisman in the Championship, despite reaching the age of 36.

This season he’s scored 14 Championship goals and registered seven assists for the Blades, including 10 since Paul Heckingbottom was appointed and Sheffield United started motoring on towards the play-offs.

Earlier this week, Sharp confirmed that he was set for talks with the club over extending his contract beyond this season, with ‘hopefully’ a conclusion in the pipeline given he wants to extend his stay.

“Hopefully after today, I’ve got a meeting so hopefully it will get sorted and I’ll be here next year.

Once we’ve got that sorted I want to fight to sort the next one after that.”
