Gran wins £3.5 million dream home with pool, cinema and tennis court in £10 raffle

A gran has won a £3.5 million mansion after buying a £10 raffle ticket. Susan Havenhand entered a house draw to be in with the chance of winning an incredible six-bed home in the Cotswolds.

The retired school teacher, who has 10 grandkids, entered Omaze’s competition to win the dream multi-million pound pad with a pool cinema and tennis court after spotting an advert.

Grandmother Susan, 71, and her husband John had to be convinced by their daughter that they had won the unbelievable property as they were on holiday in France when an Omaze film crew turned up at their home to reveal the life-changing news.

“When we first got the call from Omaze to say we’d won, my husband was convinced it was an elaborate hoax, in fact he was so sure he told me to hang up and come to the local bar with him instead," Susan said.

“I left it for an hour or so, but once I spoke with our daughter who was at home with all the film crew, I finally realised this is actually genuine.

“I was absolutely stunned, I went straight to the bar to celebrate with John, who still couldn’t quite believe it… We bought everyone there drinks all night, as we can definitely afford it now.”

The stunning property has a state-of-the-art kitchen, six bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a heated outdoor pool, huge tennis court, sauna and a fully equipped gym.

It comes fully furnished, is completely mortgage free and all stamp duty and legal fees are covered by Omaze.

The couple, who has been together for 43 years, can live in the house, rent it out or sell it, and have also been given £50,000 cash as an additional part of the price.
