Graham Norton 'schools' Adele as he mocks her over cancelled Vegas shows

Chat show host Graham Norton had fans in stitches as he 'schooled' superstar singer Adele during her appearance on his show on Friday night.

Graham, who is known for his lightning-quick wit, fired back with a quip about her recently called Las Vegas shows after she insisted she 'always knows' when things are happening in her career.

He had been chatting to musical guest George Ezra and was reassuring the singer when he struggled to tell The Graham Norton Show host when his live shows were coming up.

Graham said: “No artist ever knows when anything’s happening."

Adele then chipped in saying: "I always know when something’s happening."

But Graham swiftly retorted: "You don’t know when Vegas is happening!"

The Easy On Me singer saw the funny side and burst out laughing.

"That was very good... that was very quick," she admitted.

Rich Wearz said on Twitter: "There’s a reason why Graham Norton is King of talk shows. Just schooled Adele."

@jamesglynn commented: "Graham Norton absolutely bodied Adele with that quip."

And @PostFromProtest tweeted: "Brutal lol."

During her chat show appearance Adele assured fans that her postponed Vegas residency will go ahead this year, although the dates have yet to be set.

Asked what happened she explained: “I tried my hardest and really thought I would be able to pull something together in time.

“I regret that I kept going until that late in the day.

"It would have been a really half-a***d show and I can’t do that.

"People will see straight through me up on the stage and know I didn’t want to be doing it.

"I’ve never done anything like that in my life and I’m not going to start now.”
